Signups for All-Comers Meet Is Now Open
Good Morning Lasers,
As we wrap-up our first week of practice, here is some important information on our first swim meet, this afternoon's team activity and fundraiser.
All -Comers
Registration for the All-Comers Swim Meet on Saturday
June 8 at Lake Marion is now open. There are 5 individual events (free, back,
breast, fly, and Individual Medley) and the cost is $2 per event. It is
important for your swimmer to swim all strokes that they are legal in to get
start of season times, even if the stroke is not their best or their favorite. If
you pre-paid at the time of registration, for your swimmer, he/she should have
been signed up for any event they swam last year. Please
check the entries and make adjustments as needed. The head coach will
review all entries after he has evaluated swimmers during the next couple of practices and may
make final adjustments. Swimmers should not enter a new stroke that they did
not swim in an A or B meet last year (especially IM, breast or fly) unless they have
spoken to a coach and gotten approval that they are legal in the stroke.
Please log into your account and make your entries or indicate that your swimmer will not be attending as soon as possible. If you did not pre-pay for All-Comers, bring your payment of $2 per event in an envelope with your swimmer’s name(s) and events on the outside to one of the committee members on deck during practice.The deadline for entries and receipt of payment is Wednesday, June 5th, 5 pm (please note the deadline is to allow ample time for the meet program to be created and printed).
Don't forget to sign-up for a job at the meet, as we are hosting North Creek and Whetstone for this meet so we will need lots of help. Also, please RSVP for the fist pasta dinner taking place next Friday.
Tie dye t-shirts: Activity is this afternoon after each practice. Please bring your t-shirt (write name on the tag or on the hem) in a gallon sized Ziploc (or other brand) storage bag (please put the name of the swimmer on the bag also) to practice. Didn't pre-order a t-shirt, feel free to bring a plain white t-shirt to participate. Can’t make it today, don’t worry a second tie dye date will be scheduled for next Friday, before/after each practice and pasta dinner.
Sunscreen Fundraiser: Orders are due by the end of
practice today. Won't be at practice but have an order to submit, please reply to this message and we can make arrangements. Completed order forms along with cash
or a check (payable to LMST) should be submitted to a committee member on deck. Flyer
