The Lake Marion Swim Team is more than just a sport—it’s a huge, high-energy family party! But here’s the "secret sauce" that makes our meets happen: YOU!
Summer swim is a 100% volunteer-powered program. To keep the music playing, the stopwatches clicking, and our swimmers racing toward those personal bests, we need every family to jump into the deep end with us.
To make sure every meet runs like a well-oiled machine (and to keep registration costs low!), we ask each family to earn 10 volunteer points over the course of the season. Depending on the time commitment and level of responsibility, volunteering can earn you and your family anywhere between 1 and 4 volunteer points per shift!
Volunteering is the absolute best way to get involved, meet other parents, get the best view of the pool, and be part of the excitement that the kids love. We know life gets busy, but since we rely on every spot being filled, a $250 fine is applied at the end of the season for families who don't hit the 10-point mark. But don't worry—earning 10 points is easy and fun!
