Hello Laser Families,

Our first mini meet of the season is quickly approaching. The Flower Hill Mini Meet is at 9:00 am on Sunday, June 30. This meet is for any swimmer age 8 and under, and new this year any very novice 9-11 year old (with coach approval). There will be kickboard races (listed as IM when you sign up), as well as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. In water helpers will be available to assist swimmers as needed. There are also races for swimmers with “A meet” seed times. All swimmers will receive a ribbon for the events they swim!

You can sign up on the team website http://www.lakemarionswimteam.com/ . Click on schedule, then "All meets and events", then scroll down to the Flower Hill Mini Meet and you will see a button to click to sign up for events and one to sign up to volunteer at the meet.The team will need to provide several volunteers to help with the meet, including timers, a stroke and turn official, and ribbon writer. When you register your swimmers for the mini meet please sign up for a volunteer job. 

There is an additional cost for this meet of $3 per event. Swimmers may compete in as many events as they feel comfortable with. Please register online by Wednesday, June 26th, and bring payment to practices by Thursday, June 27th. You may pay with cash or check made out to Lake Marion Swim Team  

Meet warm ups will be at 8:00 am and the team’s theme is Red, White and Blue, so come in your best patriotic attire! If you have any questions please feel free to contact Amanda or Fran.
