2020 Summer Season - Update

    Good Afternoon,

We want to keep you up to date on plans for the summer swim season. As you may have noticed, MVF is currently getting pools ready for when it is safe to open. Up to date information on MVF closures and cancellations can be found on their website: https://www.montgomeryvillage.com/. We are still working to be ready to open registration as soon as we have a clearer picture of when pools will open, when swim teams can start and any limitations that may be in place as determined by State and/or local government.

Statement from MCSL: "Not withstanding any additional limitations that may arise, the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) has made the decision to cancel large division and/or league wide meets for the summer. We are certain, however, that until there is a vaccine, the CDC and the local government will recommend some type of social distancing restrictions. Our division-wide and league-wide swim meets command a very large attendance, and it would be exceedingly difficult to abide by CDC recommendations pertaining to large groups, social distancing, and cleanliness for these events. Our main concern (and responsibility) is the safety and health of each MCSL athlete, coach, and volunteer. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the following MCSL 2020 swim meets: Divisional Relay Carnival; Divisional Championship; Coaches Longcourse Invitational; Individual All-Stars; and All- Star Relays." Additional information can be found on the MCSL website: http://www.mcsl.org/

We hope that everyone is staying safe. Hope to see you all at the pool soon.

    Thank you,

Ashley, Beth, Daria, Fran, Karrie and Mekeba
