Lifeguard Job Opportunities and Lifeguard Training
Dear Lake Marion Lasers,
Please find below information from the Aquatics Staff for Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) regarding lifeguard training courses. If interested, please register immediately as space is extremely limited and will fill up quickly.
MVF’s Lifeguard Training which will be held at the outdoor heated Stedwick Pool was scheduled and registration is open. Due to Covid-19 pandemic and various restrictions, finding lifeguard class is a challenge this year. Montgomery Village Foundation normally co-teach classes with the City of Rockville at their indoor pool but due to gathering limits we are not able to do it this year. We will be holding class later in the Spring at our heated Stedwick Pool. I would encourage anyone who is interested to take the class to register as soon as possible as the spots are limited.
To enroll into the class, students must be 15 years old by the last day of the course (proof of age required) and pass a pre-screen test (300 yard continuous swim with rhythmic breathing using front crawl or breast stroke, 10 lbs. brick retrieval within one minute forty seconds and tread water using legs only for two minutes).
