Hello Lasers!

Our season officially kicks off next week! Here are a few important reminders:

• Please register if you haven’t already, and share registration information with your friends and neighbors too! Visit https://lakemarionlasers.swimtopia.com/ and click the Register Now button!
• Make sure you have a valid MVF activity card with a current sticker to enter the pool on the first day of practice.
• If you have not done so, please make sure your registration fee has been turned in prior to your first day of practice.
• Please check out our team handbook that will answer a lot of questions you may have. Our handbook can be found here: https://lakemarionlasers.swimtopia.com/team-handbook

PRE-TEAM EVALUATIONS

We will have pre-team evaluations next week for all swimmers 9 & under that have never swam in a swim meet unassisted. This will allow our coaching staff to assess swimmers ability and place them in the appropriate group. Thank you to those who have already signed up for one of these essential evaluations. If you haven’t signed up yet, please go to the Signup Genius page https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/4090d4fa9ad2ea0f49-preteam and select one (1) time slot. Please list the swimmers name (first and last) in the comments when you sign up. After evaluations are completed, coaches will make decisions on where each swimmer needs to be and families will be notified by our pre-team rep, Nicole Goldsby. CITs

We are excited to offer the opportunity for some of our older swimmers to be CITs (Coaches in Training) this summer! Our CITs must be rising 8th graders or older who can stand comfortably in the lanes. If you are interested in applying, please send a statement of interest to our pre-team representative, Nicole Goldsby at [email protected]. Previous CITs can also let Nicole know if they are available to help at the pre-team evaluations the first week of practice, June 1-3 from 6:30 to 7:15 PM.

PRACTICES

Our first practice will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Here are the practice times while school is still in session:

• Current middle and high school swimmers will practice from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm
• Current elementary school students will practice from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
• Pre-team practices do not start until June 20.
