Wow! What a great Saturday morning! We had tons of best times and had our first team win in a while! The meet looked close on paper, but we ended up winning by over 130 points! Go Lasers! You can find the meet results under Schedule, Meet Results or by clicking here.

We would like to recognize the following swimmers who swam All Star times this morning:

Congratulations to Colton Ravas and Nirav Nadarajah who swam in their first A meet!

And congratulations to Sophie Burakiewicz, Eli Hunter and The Nguygen Family for winning this week’s spirit awards! Aargh!

Thank you to all of the families who volunteered. We couldn’t have done it without you! And this week, we would like to give a shout out to the Volunteers of the Week - the Shuttles Family! From setting up social events including pasta dinners and team lunches, to managing the team equipment, to setting up our officials schedule for the season, to officiating, to announcing, to taking pictures, to leading our parade planning, to helping with clerk of course, and to running timer sheets to automation - they do it all!

B Meet Week 2 - Wednesday, June 29

We will have our first B meet of the year at the Quail Valley Pool on Wednesday, June 29th. The deadline to sign up for this meet is 6:00 PM on Monday, June 27, 2022. Swimmers are allowed to swim as many events as they want as long as they are legal to swim that event and they did not swim that event this morning. Please see the Team Handbook under “Eligibility for B meets” for more information about B meet sign ups and the freestyle exceptions.

You can sign up by following these directions:

Click on Week 2B 2022.
Select Edit under the swimmer’s name.
From the drop down, select Attending This Meet.
Select the events the swimmer is eligible to swim.
Click Save.

Be sure to sign up for a job when you sign up to swim! And the theme is Pirates, so show your Laser spirit with your pirate attire from head to toe! We will be recognizing two swimmers and a Lake Marion family for showing their team spirit.

A Meet Week 3 - Saturday, July 2

Our next A meet is at Montgomery Square at 9 AM on Saturday, July 2. It is critical that a swimmer’s availability is declared through Swimtopia for each A meet. Here’s how!

Click on Week 3A 2022.
Select Edit under the swimmer’s name.
From the drop down, select Available For This Meet or Not Available For This Meet.
Click Save.

Please declare your swimmer’s A Meet availability as soon as possible, but no later than 10:30 AM (the end of AM practice) on Wednesday, June 29th. Please do this even if you don’t think your swimmer would participate in an A meet. Sometimes swimmers are not available because of other commitments.

A meets are seeded by the coaching staff. The lineup will be finalized by the end of the day on Wednesday. HC Jorge will communicate who will swim in this meet on Wednesday night or Thursday morning. The line-up will then be formally exchanged with Montgomery Square by noon on Friday.
