Hello Lasers!

Here are your Sunday reminders:

1. Remember to sign up for Wednesday’s B meet! Entries close tomorrow, Monday 7/3 at 6 pm. Sign up for this B meet by following these directions:

Log in to your Swimtopia account by clicking here or go to https://lakemarionlasers.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

1. Click on Week 3B.
2. Select Edit under the swimmer’s name.
3. From the drop down, select Attending This Meet.
4. Select the events the swimmer is eligible to swim.
5. Click Save.

Eligibility for B Meets: If your swimmer swam an event and placed 1-6 in the A meet on Saturday, they CANNOT swim that same event in the B meet. If your swimmer had a DQ or a 7-12 place in freestyle they are eligible to swim that event in the B meet. You may also not swim an event if you were out of town, but would have swum that event in the A meet. Reminder to please sign-up to volunteer! Home meets require a lot of volunteers between timing, concessions, set-up, and take down. It takes all families to have a successful meet!

We also need families to declare as soon as possible for Saturday’s A meet at Montgomery Square and the A Relay Carnival. Please do that at the same time as you sign up for the B meet!

2. Tuesday, July 4th is the MVF 4th of July Parade! There are no morning or evening practices. If you’re joining us for the parade, please meet at the start of the parade by 9:45 am in your red, white, and blue gear! Please see the email from Chuck Shuttles last week for more information.

3. For families of morning practice swimmers/preteamers: We are required by MVF to be off the pool deck by 10:30. This means we need all families and swimmers off the deck and in their cars by 10:30. Please make sure showers, changing of clothes, and rides are taken care of so that we can lock up right at 10:30. Thank you so much!

4. Volunteer Reminder: A gentle reminder that when you sign-up to work at the meet, we need all volunteers to check in with Tanya Hunter at the pool 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet (8:30 am for A meets and 5:30 pm for B meets). We need to ensure we have everyone present so we can begin the meet on time and our timers/officials can attend their required meetings. Thanks!
