Hello Lasers!

We hope to see everyone at Pasta Dinner tonight at 6:30 PM in the community center. This is our weekly team building event! It’s not too late to sign up - click here!

And we are excited for our first A meet tomorrow morning AWAY at Norbeck Grove. The address of the pool is 18309 Wickham Rd, Olney, MD 20832 which is about 15 minutes away from Lake Marion. The theme is CAMO! Come dressed to show your team spirit!

Please be at the pool by 8 AM. Be sure to have your swimmer check in with their assigned coach so we know everyone is accounted for.

• 15-18, 13-14, & 11-12: Coach Nick
• 9-10 & 8 and under: Coach Rachel

Our warm-ups will be from 8:25 - 8:45 AM. I will send out the meet program once I receive it from Norbeck Grove.

Please do not leave the meet unless your swimmer has checked out with Coach Nick/Coach Rachel (unless you have already let them know you have to leave early). There are two relays in the second half (Open Medley and 14 & under Freestyle) and we want to be able to fill both of our lanes and have a loud cheering section!

Our team lunch will be at the Chipotle (333 Olney Sandy Spring Rd, Olney MD 20832). Once the meet has concluded, head on over and order your food. You may even want to order online on the way. The coaching staff will hand out ribbons and our spirit awards to one boy, one girl, and one family!

On a side note, it was reiterated that tech suits are no longer legal for swimmers 12 and under at last night’s MCSL meeting. If you don’t know what this means, don’t worry about it. Information from Norbeck Grove

PARKING:

Parking is available in our pool parking lot. We have a second lot that is a very short distance up Wickham Rd between the basketball courts and the playground. Please have your team enter the pool through the large gate.

TEAM AREA:

Your team area will be the left side of the grassy area in the back and Norbeck Grove will be on the right. We will have a Clerk of Course on the far right of this area. We don’t have any shade so be sure to bring shade canopies. We do not allow anyone in the baby pool or zero depth area during the meet. This can be very attractive to our younger swimmers and we will have this area roped off.

Concessions:

We will have concessions for sale. We accept cash, cards, and digital wallets. We will have the grill fired up for our famous Barracuda Breakfast Sandwiches along with pre-packaged candy and chips, donuts, Gatorade, water, and coffee.
