Good afternoon Lasers!

This is a long email, but please be sure to read it all because there’s a lot of things that pertain to specific swimmers. 

Attached are the tentative lineups for both the A meet on Saturday and A relays on Sunday. Please review them both and let me know if there are any issues. 

Notes about the A meet: 

1. This week I tried to make the relay teams for the A meet ahead of time to give swimmers and parents an idea of who will be swimming. However, relay teams at the A meet are dependent on how well swimmers swim and are subject to change up until the time of the relay. This means that once again, you must check with me before leaving the meet. 

2. Maxi Torres and Jordyn Valencia - Although these swimmers are not listed in any events, they will be in a relay on Saturday. For some reason swimtopia wouldn’t let me input swimmers in a relay who aren’t in any individual events, which is why a couple of the medley relays have only three swimmers listed. I’m certain, though, that this is not because it’s against the rules. Nothing in the rule book says swimmers have to be listed in an individual event to participate in a relay. 

Notes about A relays: 

1. Just like the A meet, relay teams are subject to change up until the time of the relay. These relays, however, are less likely to change during the meet since there are no individual events on Sunday to gauge performance. But they may change between the A meet Saturday and A relays Sunday. 

2. Jenesys Pineda and Ian Nguyen - Availability seems to be very limited on Sunday, so these two swimmers will be swimming up. Jenesys will be swimming in event #18 Girls 11-12 200 Medley Relay, and Ian in event #19 Boys 13-14 200 Medley Relay. Swimtopia did not let me input these swimmers in their respective relay teams because they’re not in the relay’s indicated age group. So please be aware that these swimmers will be swimming those relays unless performance on Saturday warrants any change. 

3. Colton Ravas and Alice Kuminov - Swimtopia AGAIN did not let me input these swimmers in one of the relays. Event #21 Boys and #22 Girls 18 & Under 250 Freestyle Relay has five legs, but swimtopia only lets me input four. So please be aware that these swimmers will be swimming those relays unless performance on Saturday warrants any change. 

Daria also had a few things she wanted me to pass along: 

1. Details about A relays will be sent out separately in an email later on. 

2. And we are looking for four parents who are interested in participating in the parent relay! Please let Daria know if you are interested.
