A Meet versus Arora Hills

We braved the heat yet again this morning for our 4th A meet of the season! It was another tough loss, but had a fabulous send off for our three seniors: Chase Keeler, Lauren Shuttles, and Emily Turner. Thank you to all of their parents for their years of service to our team: Laura Keeler, Chuck Shuttles, Karrie Shuttles, Beth Turner, and Fred Turner. We will miss these swimmers and their families!

We would also like to shout out to Lauren Shuttles, Isaac Muldowney,and the Caldwell Family for winning this week’s A meet spirit awards!

B Meet Week 4 - Wednesday, July 10th AWAY at Plantations - Sign up by Monday at 6 PM

The deadline to sign up for our B meet is MONDAY at 6 PM. Sign in TODAY to select your swimmer’s events AND choose a volunteer role. Get your Tie Dye attire ready again to show your team spirit!

B Relay Carnival at HOME on Thursday, July 11th - Declare by Sunday at 6 PM

The B Relay Carnival is a fun, team building meet that consists entirely of relays. It is very important for you to declare your swimmer’s availability for B Relay Carnival by TOMORROW at 6 PM so our coaches have enough time to plan and send out the relays. If you are declaring your child is available, that means they are able to swim 1 length of the pool of freestyle without any assistance. Please click here to review all of the details that Ashley sent out yesterday!

A Meet Week 5 - Saturday, July 13th AWAY vs. Long Branch - Declare by Wednesday at NOON

Our final A meet is AWAY on Saturday, July 13 at Long Branch. Please declare for this meet! Visit: https://lakemarionlasers.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

1. Click on Week 5A AWAY vs. Long Branch.
2. Select Edit under the swimmer’s name.
3. From the drop down, select Available For This Meet or Not Available For This Meet.
4. Click Save.

We need you to declare your swimmer’s A Meet availability as soon as possible, but no later than NOON on Wednesday, July 10th. Please do this even if you don’t think your swimmer would participate in an A meet. Nick will communicate who will swim in our final A meet on Thursday. The line-up will then be formally exchanged with Long Branch by noon on Friday.

DIVISIONALS on Saturday, July 20th at HOME - Declare by THIS WEDNESDAY at NOON

Divisionals is our final big meet of the season and it is at home! Please declare your availability for DIVISIONALS when you declare for the Week 5 A meet! Coach Nick must submit our Divisionals line up by Sunday, July 14th at 6 PM so that’s why we need you to declare NOW! Not sure if you should declare? If your child has competed in an A or B meet so far this season, please declare them for this meet. This meet provides critical points for our team which determine our divisional ranking next year. Thank you!

Reminder: Manchester Farm Mini Meet on Sunday, July 14th - CITs included!

The deadline for swimmers to sign up for the Manchester Farm Mini Meet is MONDAY at 6 PM. Click here to review all of the details. Parents of CITs, please sign up for your CIT through Swimtopia under jobs. We only have 2 CITs signed up so far and we need as many as possible! You will need to put in your own name, not your CITs name, to indicate that your CIT will be there to help.

This week we can look forward to these exciting events:

• Sunday:
  • Rescheduled WIBIT fun for our 11-14 age group at North Creek from 2 - 4 PM!
• Tuesday:
  • Chase Keeler will be swimming at the MCSL Coaches Long Course Invitational Meet at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, 355 Martins Lane in Rockville. The meet begins at 6 PM. The top 8 MCSL swimmers in each stroke are invited to this special meet! Chase is seeded 8th in backstroke and is an alternate for IM. Congratulations Chase! • Wednesday
  • We have our Pancake Breakfast after morning practices. Thanks to our chefs, Karrie Shuttles and Irma Najarro, for carrying on this B meet morning tradition. We ask families to donate to help defray the cost of this tasty treat.
  • Our B meet is AWAY at Plantations. You already know that entries are due by 6 PM on Sunday!
• Thursday
  • We will host the B Relay Carnival! Be sure to declare by tomorrow. Even if you won’t have a swimmer in the meet, come cheer on our team wearing your Red and Black!
• Friday
  • We will have LASERMANIA in the morning! All swimmers, including those who practice in the afternoon, are welcome to join us for this annual team building event of relays, games, and contests! To maximize the fun, Lasermania will be from 8 - 10 AM for ALL regular and developmental team members (10 & under AND 11 & up) and 9:30 - 10:15 AM for ALL preteam, with CIT help. There will be $1 donuts too!
  • We have Potluck Pasta Dinner team building from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the community center. Sign up for set up/clean up and/or bring a large dish to share!
