It was a great morning for Lake Marion as we pulled out a big win versus North Creek! The meet was tied at half time and we came out ahead at the end with the final score being 399 to 378! Amazing job Lasers! You can find the meet results under Schedule, Meet Results or by clicking here.

And congratulations to Sam Arias who broke her own team record of 1:16.40 in event #38 Womens’ 15-18 100 Breaststroke, with a time of 1:15.39!!!

A shout out to Maddie Arias, Eli Hunter, and the Page Family for winning this meet’s spirit awards! Love the patriotism and team spirit!

Also, thank you to all of the families who volunteered this morning! We can’t run a successful meet without everyone’s support!

Upcoming Events/Reminders:

●Meet ribbons are handed out at the team lunch after A meets and the practice after B meets. If your swimmer needs any of their ribbons, they are in the “family boxes” that we will have out at practices. If you don’t see them, please ask a member of the board!

●15-18 swimmers need to RSVP for the Top Golf outing (scheduled for Tuesday, 7/15 from 8-10 PM) by 6 PM on Monday!

●10 and unders, join your teammates for some fun at Apple Ridge/Peggy Mark from 12 - 2 PM on Tuesday, July 1st. Enjoy the lazy river and slides with your Laser friends!

●Tuesday July 1st is also Our First Annual Family Game Night! Bring your games and meet us in the community center from 7:15 - 8:45 PM. Be sure to RSVP by noon on Tuesday as we will order pizza based on that number. You are welcome to come if you forget to RSVP, but we ask that you hold off on eating until those who RSVPed have eaten. We also need a few people to volunteer to help with set up and clean up. Thanks!

●Pancake Breakfast is Wednesday morning. Please send in a donation to help defray the cost of this tasty Laser tradition!

●Sign up for Wednesday’s AWAY B meet at Flower Hill by 9 PM Monday. The theme for Wednesday’s B Meet is Red, White & Blue! We saw some awesome patriotism this morning! 

●Declare for Saturday's HOME A Meet vs. Plantations by 9 PM on Wednesday. This is our last home meet and we will honor our seniors! PLEASE DO THIS EVEN IF YOU DON’T THINK YOUR SWIMMER WOULD PARTICIPATE IN AN A MEET. If your family will be away on July 5th, please sign in and mark your swimmer(s) as unavailable.

●Our seniors requested Jersey Mike’s for their team lunch after this meet, so we will gather in the community center after this meet. Order your Jersey Mike's meals by 6 PM on July 4. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or grab something from the grill before it closes too!

●We need everyone to declare for A Relays by 9 PM on Wednesday. This is a fast-paced event worth lots of points in the league standings, so we need everyone to declare. PLEASE DO THIS EVEN IF YOU DON’T THINK YOUR SWIMMER WOULD PARTICIPATE IN A RELAYS! We don’t want to have any empty lanes, as that means that we are leaving points on the table! A relays are on Sunday, July 6th at West Hillendale. If your family will be away on July 6th, please sign in and mark your swimmer(s) as unavailable.

●Friday is the 4th of July! We will participate in the MVF parade and hope to take first place again with our fabulous Maryland-themed float! Stay tuned for more details about marching in the parade as a team. There is no practice or pasta dinner on Friday due to the holiday!

●This reminder is for our preteam and developmental swimmers: Sign up for the Manchester Farm Mini Meet (9 and under, $12 entry fee for a maximum of 4 events) and the Lake Marion Popsicle Meet (free for 10 and under swimmers who have not participated in A or B meets). You can find both of these meets on our Meets and Events page. CITs, ask your parents to sign you up as in water helpers. Please reach out to our preteam reps, Cindy & Alison, if you have any questions about either of these meets!
