It was wonderful to honor our 5 seniors this morning! Congratulations to Brett Page, Catherine Silva, Ellie Mikula, Giana Caldarera, and Izzy Najarro. A shout out to Catherine Silva, Brett Page, and the Eaton Family for winning this meet’s spirit awards! Love the Maryland Pride and team spirit!

I neglected to recognize our B Meet spirit award winners! Congratulations to Charlie Eaton, Bryce Torres and the Joseph Family for showing their patriotism and Laser pride at Flower Hill on Wednesday!

Also, thank you to all of the families who volunteered this morning! We can’t run a successful meet without everyone’s support!

Upcoming Events/Reminders

Order your Division K shirt by tomorrow, Sunday at 6 PM. Details were sent out Wednesday and you can review them here.

Sign up for Wednesday’s B Relays at North Creek by 9 PM Monday. The theme for Red & Black! Sign up even if you are in the lineup for A Relays. While priority will be given to those who were not able to swim in A relays, we may need to round out some of our relay teams with swimmers who are also swimming on Sunday.

Declare for Saturday's AWAY A Meet vs. Clopper Mill Kingsview by 9 PM on Wednesday. PLEASE DO THIS EVEN IF YOU DON’T THINK YOUR SWIMMER WOULD PARTICIPATE IN AN A MEET. Please save us some time - and save yourself from getting text messages from me - by marking your swimmer(s) as available/not available ASAP.

We also need everyone to declare for Divisionals by 9 PM on Wednesday. Divisionals are at North Creek on Saturday, July 19th. Please save us some time - and save yourself from getting text messages from me - by marking your swimmer(s) as available/not available ASAP. Don’t delay - declare today!

This reminder is for our preteam and developmental swimmers: Sign up for the Manchester Farm Mini Meet (9 and under, $12 entry fee for a maximum of 4 events) and the Lake Marion Popsicle Meet (free for 10 and under swimmers who have not participated in A or B meets). You can find both of these meets on our Meets and Events page. Entries for Manchester Farm will close at 9 PM on Monday, July 7.

Join your Laser friends at Lake Marion from 3-5 PM on Tuesday, July 8 for raft and noodle fun. The pool is open to the public, and they allow floats during this 2 hour window.

The prestigious MCSL Coaches Long Course Meet is also Tuesday at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, 355 Martins Lane. Lake Marion is represented by Sam Arias and Chase Keeler in this meet! Chase Keeler is seeded 4th in backstroke and 7th in fly. Sam Arias is seeded 5th in breaststroke. If you want to see some amazing swimming by the fastest swimmers in MCSL, head to Rockville on Tuesday! The meet begins at 6 PM. Go Sam and Chase!

Our final Pancake Breakfast of the season is Wednesday, July 9. Thank you to Irma Najarro and Becca Redman for being our fabulous chefs! Please be sure to send in a donation to help defray the cost of feeding our swimmers, as the expenses for these tasty treats will be $100 more than donations received to date.

Fantastic Food Fridays are back next week! Please send in donations to cover the cost of donuts after morning practice, and be sure to sign up to contribute to our weekly team building tradition, Pasta Dinner!
