All Stars

Congratulations to our swimmers who competed in All Star weekend!

We had 7 relay teams representing Lake Marion on Saturday at All Star Relays. Great job Lasers!

●Event 3 Mixed 15-18 Free: Chase Keeler, Austin Seager, Sam Arias, Izzy Najarro came in 3rd!

●Event 8 Men’s Open Medley: Chase Keeler, Austin Seager, Vincent Burakiewicz, Henry Giffin came in 2nd!

●Event 9 Women’s Open Medley: Izzy Najarro, Sam Arias, Elliot Redman, Catherine Silva came in 5th!

●Event 10 Boys 14 & Under Medley: Tanner Seager, Eli Hunter, Kien Nguyen, Tyler Niemiec came in 3rd!

●Event 14 Boys 9-10 Medley: Andrew Niemiec, Daniel Zhelyazkov, Kien Nguyen, Max Valencia came in 4th!

●Event 16 Mixed 15-18 Medley: Chase Keeler, Austin Seager, Sam Arias, Izzy Najarro came in 1st!

●Event 21 Boys Freestyle Crescendo: Tyler Niemiec, Tanner Seager, Chase Keeler, Eli Hunter, Kien Nguyen came in 1st!

Thanks to the Event 12 Boys & Under Medley: Tyler Niemiec, Andrew Lewis, Aiden Chavarria, Nikita Zhelyazkov for being ready to swim as the alternate in their event.

We had 4 swimmers at Individual All Stars on Sunday!

●Maddie Arias came in 9th in breaststroke

●Sam Arias placed 9th in IM and 5th in breaststroke

●Aiden Chavarria came in 14th in breaststroke

●Chase Keeler placed 2nd in IM and 2nd in back

Chase and Sam also broke their own team records in their events!

●Chase’s new record breaking IM time: 57.64

●Sam’s new record breaking IM time: 1:08.91

●Chase’s new record breaking backstroke time: 55.79

●Sam’s new record breaking breaststroke time: 1:14.28

Swim Opportunities

Some of our families may want to continue the fun of swimming beyond the summer! Here is a link to the MCSL webpage that lists all of the MCSL sponsors, including swimming options. You can find lessons as well as year round competitive swim teams. We have a number of families that are current or former participants of most of these opportunities. If you find a program of interest and have questions, please reach out and we will put you in contact with other families that may be able to answer questions from a parent perspective.

Next Season

We already have a draft calendar for next summer! Our first day of regular and developmental practices will be Tuesday, May 26th and our first day of preteam practice is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 8th. We will wrap up the season with All Star weekend on July 25th and July 26th. Mark your calendars now so you can be a part of the fun all season long!
