4A Meet Program & Parade Update
Happy Heatwave Lake Marion! Please be sure to rest and hydrate today!
Parade Update from MVF: The parade will proceed as scheduled. However, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the celebration at Apple Ridge Recreation Area that was planned to follow the parade and continue until 1:30 p.m. The parade awards presentation will still take place immediately following the parade at the Apple Ridge Pavilion.
Park at the North Creek Pool and meet the team in the church parking lot tomorrow morning around 9:45 AM, or earlier if you want pancakes. The parade will kick off at 10 AM. Wear your Red, White & Blue!
Tonight’s Meet: Here is the program for tonight’s meet. We are assigned the odd lanes.
Swimmers, coaches and parents - please note that our lane assignments are not consistent. In heats/events that aren’t filled, some of our swimmers will be in the even lanes.
Arrive at the New Mark Commons Pool by 5 PM to check in with the coaches. Scroll down for a repeat of the essential meet details.

Essential Meet Details
- Our warmups will be from 5:20 - 5:40 PM.
- Stroke and turn briefing at 5:20 PM near the pool gate
- Briefing for all timers (first and second half) at 5:40 PM near the baby pool
- The team area for Lake Marion is to the right as you enter the pool area, near the “Start” end of the pool. Deck space is limited but we would love it if some families could bring some tents to shade our swimmers on what will be a VERY hot evening! Families can also set up tents outside the fenced area.
- They will sell concessions with Cup Noodles, pre-packaged food items, and assorted drinks during the meet.
- The Taste of Montreal Food Truck will be parked outside the gates.
- Please make sure you bring water bottles so everyone stays hydrated.
We hope the team will stay for the entire meet to cheer on our second half swimmers as well as the second half relays (Open Medley and 14 & under Freestyle). To ensure we can fill all lanes for the relays, please do not leave the meet until your swimmer has checked out with their coach, unless you have already made prior arrangements.
