The “regular” swim team is designed for swimmers skilled enough to swim multiple continuous lengths (25m) across the pool, unassisted, and focuses on conditioning, endurance, stroke technique and competition.

Pre-team is a practice group designed to introduce young swimmers to a future in competitive swimming. Pre-team is not designed to serve as swim lessons, but to assist swimmers in improving their current skills with the goal of moving up to the “regular” swim team in the future.

Pre-team swimmers MUST be able to push themselves off the wall or the bottom of the pool unassisted for 5 meters to join the beginning group, and 15 meters for the advanced group.

Laser pre-team swimmers should be five (5) years or older by June 1st. Swimmers who are not yet 5, but will start kindergarten in the fall, who meet those requirements may be considered.

Additional information about pre-team can be found in the Pre-team section of our website.
